Exhibition introduction:

One of the leading exhibitions for the plastics industry in Vietnam.

VietnamPlas, the Vietnam Plastics Industry Exhibition, will be held in October 2021 at the SECC Exhibition Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 

The Vietnam Plastics Industry Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City was founded in 2001 and has been successfully held for 19 times.

Strong professionalism: The Vietnam Plastics Industry Exhibition has been approved by the Ministry of Industry of Vietnam, the Ministry of Agriculture of Vietnam, the Ministry of Trade of Vietnam, the Ministry of Investment Planning of Vietnam, the National Machinery Association of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Plastic Company, the Ministry of Science and Industry of Vietnam, the National Plastics Association of Vietnam, and the National Food Industry Association of Vietnam. It is strongly supported by the Association of Categories, the Ministry of Natural Environment Protection of Vietnam, the National Banks Association of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam Overseas Investment Chamber of Commerce, and the Vietnam Automation Industry Association.

Strong attraction: The last Ho Chi Minh City Plastics Industry Exhibition attracted 500 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions including Vietnam, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Ukraine, Philippines, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Malaysia and the Netherlands, bringing exhibits to participate. The exhibition was held, of which more than 80% were foreign exhibitors, and about 13,415 professional visitors were received on site. 90% of the exhibits were sold on site or purchased by local agents, and the exhibition activities achieved remarkable results.

Market advantage: Vietnam's plastic industry currently faces the challenge of a lack of raw materials. 90% of its operations rely on imported raw materials. The raw materials produced by itself can only provide 10% of the raw material demand for domestic production. 

According to statistics, the industry’s annual import volume is 1.6 to 2 million metric tons, with an import value of approximately US$2.1 billion, and annual exports of plastic products of US$750 million. Vietnam’s plastic industry should invest in the construction of plastic waste recycling plants. Currently, there are approximately 2,200 across the country. Plastic manufacturers, 80% of which are located in Ho Chi Minh City.
